Smart Micro Grid System: Off-Island Micro Grid System & Back-up Power System

智慧型微電網系統:離島微電網系統和備用電力系統

The off-island power generation issue is including technical issue and economic issue. The technical issue is including small power generation scale, long distance to large centralized power plant, and relying to diesel generators. The economic issue is including high fuel cost and high operating/maintain cost. To fix such issues, diesel generator is chosen to be the main power supply and is combined with renewable energy to become the micro-grid solution. We can choose fuel cell system as the back-up power system. There are 4 main advantages of fuel cell system. Theses advantages are cleanness, quiet, high efficiency, and low operating cost.
